Marco Bidin is an Italian composer, organist and harpsichord player.
After graduating in Organ and Organ Composition from the Conservatory of Udine (IT), he studied Organ and Early Music at the Trossingen University of Music (DE). He completed the Master in Contemporary Music, in Composition and in Computer Music at the University of Music of Stuttgart (DE), where he is currently studying with Marco Stroppa.
He has widely performed as a soloist in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Croatia, Japan, Korea and Vatican City. He has also recorded for Radio Vaticana, Taukay and ALEA, and his compositions have been performed in Europe and Asia.
He lectured in contemporary music for harpsichord at the University of Music of Stuttgart and gave courses, master-classes, and lecture-concerts in Italy, Germany and South Korea. Since October 2015 he has been appointed as Tutor for the Studio for Electronic Music at the University of Music of Stuttgart, and since 2017 he is pursuing a PhD in Musical Composition at the University of Huddersfield (UK).
Marco Bidin is the artistic director of ALEA, Associazione Laboratorio Espressioni Artistiche, in Pordenone (IT) and the founder and director of the international INCONTRI project, focusing on eastern and western culture in contemporary music.
